ADMINISTRATION

Our team is committed to providing children with an environment of care and protection,
and protecting their right to life.
Our Heart

The Janell Doyle home was born in our hearts like a dream! It began in 1989, when I was the President of the Baptist Women's Missionary Union of the Amazon. The dream became part of our discussions and was soon welcomed by all Baptist women. Land was donated and with everyone's help, we built our home.

The Home was inaugurated on 12 October 1996 with one child. Within two months, it had grown to include over 30 children. Soon after, the Home was transferred from the care of the Women's Missionary Union to the Baptist Convention of the Amazon (CBA), becoming an official organ of the CBA Social Action program. The Home worked with the Abrigo (Shelter) Program until the year 2001, when we opened our own Family Care Program, reaching children in the community.

Over the years, we have witnessed the marvelous ways that God provides for the needs of our little ones. Many people, sensitive to needs of our children and sent by God, have extended their hands to help us. We are grateful to everyone who has made the Home possible over its 16 years of service to our city and state in caring for our children.

To God be all the honor and praise due to Him alone!

Our Teaching department creates the  conditions necessary for the full development of our children, using educational practices that promote the development of individual skills in  physical, emotional, cognitive, ethical, and social areas and in interpersonal relationships.

Social & Family Services

Margareth Souza

Social & Family Services provides children and families with better living conditions, educational and recreational activities, and home visits, including assessments of health and schoolwork. Among other things, our Services assist families in understanding public policy and qualify mothers for entrance into the job market.

Social Services

Ana Rebeca de Vilar

The objective of Social Services is to help the children and families who come to us build new life perspectives. We believe that life in a shelter is possible, that the institution is essentially a social space of protection, providing an alternative for children. It's this belief that makes our work transormative.

Psychology

Marilene Nascimento

Psychology meets, in a preventative and curative way, the psychological needs of our institution. Our primary focus is childcare and familial assistance, and we also work amongst the team and for the institution's various intitiatives.

Health

Rosilene Araújo

Our nurse and healthcare providers offer specialized care for the children in our Home and in the community, meeting basic healthcare needs.

Christian Education

Suanny Martins

The purpose of our Christian Education is to lead children, families and our fellow servants to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Matthew 28.18.

Financial Administration / HR

Kenia Nobre

Our Administrative department includes both the financial and HR sectors. We facilitate dialogue between the Home and our sponsors, taking care of the documentation necessary to allow for public and private partnerships.

Caregivers

Caregivers

Our caregivers are present in our children's lives 24 hours a day, working in shifts. In the time that a child spends in our Home, our caregivers become true mothers to them.
